One material, both sides, nothing on the metal: the board with the shortest ingredients list in the category.
Before you buy any "plastic-free" cutting board, flip it over. On most of them the other side is polypropylene marketed as "wheat straw". A plastic cutting surface bolted to the board you bought to stop cutting on plastic, and the reason most of them can't go in the dishwasher either. This one has nothing to hide on either side. The whole board is 100% Grade 1 commercially pure titanium. No polymer back, no coating, no treatment, because there is nothing on the metal at all.
There are also no grooves to develop. Titanium is non-porous, so nothing soaks in: juice and odor sit on top and rinse away, garlic doesn't follow the strawberries, and raw chicken washes off completely. Straight into the dishwasher afterwards, because there is no plastic side to warp.
