A solid Japanese titanium cutting surface, 100% Grade 1 and lab-verified: the board that is what the label says.

Most cutting boards sold as "titanium" are stainless steel wearing a label. Some rust at the edges. Some hold a fridge magnet, which titanium cannot do. You pay titanium money and end up owning steel. This one is different where it counts. Both sides are solid 100% Grade 1 commercially pure titanium, bare metal through and through, with nothing bonded, sprayed, or bolted on. No plastic back dressed up as "wheat straw" either. The metal is the board.

So test it when it arrives. Hold a magnet to it: titanium won't take one. Put it on your kitchen scale: titanium runs about 45% lighter than the same board in steel. We built this board with the assumption you would test it yourself.

Why you'll love it:

  • Real titanium, both sides: solid 100% Grade 1 commercially pure, not steel wearing a label
  • Proven, not claimed: independently lab-tested
  • Nothing to shed: no coating, no polymer layer, non-porous, so juice and odor rinse straight off
  • Dishwasher safe: no plastic side to warp, no oiling, no sanding, ever

Available in four sizes from S to XL, or as a full bundle. Backed by a lifetime warranty that covers the cutting board.

Does it Dull Knives?

Yes, a little faster than end grain wood. We would rather say so than have you find out.

Titanium is much softer than your blade. Grade 1 sits around 120 on the Vickers scale and knife steel is 550 to 650, so it cannot grind your edge away the way glass or ceramic can. What it does is refuse to give. Wood parts under a blade and closes again behind it. Titanium stays put, so the edge rolls sooner.

Rolled is not blunt. Ten seconds on a honing rod, once a week, puts it back. Honing removes no metal, unlike sharpening, which you will still only need a few times a year.

In exchange: nothing to oil or reseal, no hand washing, no knife grooves to scrub out, no warping or staining, and no replacing it in two years. It goes in the dishwasher.

One honest trade, and we think it is the good side of it.

Why is it Worth The Money?

Our titanium board represents a one-time investment in your kitchen's future.

Unlike traditional boards that need frequent replacement due to warping, bacteria buildup, or wear, our board maintains its pristine condition for life while protecting your family's health through its naturally inert, bacteria-resistant surface.

Products are really great. Bought pans and cutting boards from there. Cleaning is very easy and quick and also without any traces of plastic or bacteria. I am going to remain healthy always with these products.

The problem

How do you even know it's a real titanium board?

Most boards with "titanium" in the title are stainless steel wearing a label.

Titanium on the label, steel on the board

Titanium on the label, steel on the board

Most "titanium" cutting boards are stainless steel. The word is in the listing, but the metal under your knife is ordinary steel, and some of them rust to prove it. Real titanium cannot rust.

"Pure" that isn't pure

"Pure" that isn't pure

One listing says "SUS food grade", the designation for stainless steel, in the same sentence as "pure titanium". Others are a thin titanium skin over a cheaper core. Different tricks, same result: you pay for titanium and cut on something else.

Said pure titanium. It stained.

Said pure titanium. It stained.

Titanium is inert. It does not stain from cutting fruit and vegetables. When a "titanium" board looks like this after a month, the material is answering the question the listing would not.

THE SOLUTION

100% Real Grade 1 Titanium

Most "titanium" boards can't show you what they're actually made of. This one can. Here is what the metal is, how you verify it yourself, and the warranty only real titanium can back.

A solid metal, not a label
The board most brands sell is stainless steel with titanium in the title. This one is different where it counts: both cutting surfaces are solid 100% Grade 1 commercially pure titanium, bare metal all the way through. No steel core, no plating, nothing bonded on.
Verify it yourself
You do not have to trust us. A magnet will not stick to titanium. The board weighs about 45% less than the same board in steel. And the independent lab certificate verifies it. Run all three tests when it arrives. We built it assuming you would.
A warranty only real titanium can make
Fake boards exclude the surface from their warranty, or go quiet once the rust shows up. Ours covers the cutting surface for life, in writing. That is easy to promise, because titanium cannot rust, warp or wear through.
Handcrafted in Japan
Every Gonest board is handcrafted in Japan, home of the world's most demanding titanium industry. The Japanese supply the aerospace and medical fields, where purity and precision are pass-fail requirements rather than marketing words, and that standard carries into the boards: precise forming and quality control measured in single boards, not shipping containers. It's the difference you feel in the balance, and one more claim we can back with documentation.

Frequently asked questions

Is this actually pure titanium, or steel with a label?
Solid 100% Grade 1 commercially pure titanium, on both sides. No steel core, no plating, no coating.
How do I verify it myself?
Three tests. A magnet: titanium will not hold one. A kitchen scale: titanium runs about 45% lighter than the same board in steel. The certificate: the independent lab document. We built the board assuming you would run all three.
What grade of titanium is it?
Grade 1, commercially pure. It is the purest commercial grade, valued for being inert and non-reactive.
Will it rust or stain?
Never. Titanium cannot rust, and the surface is non-porous, so juice and odor rinse straight off. If a "titanium" board ever rusts, it was steel.
Does it scratch?
It takes light knife marks, because real titanium is softer than hardened blade steel. The marks are cosmetic on a non-porous metal: nothing sheds and nothing soaks in. A metal board advertised as "scratch-proof" is telling you it is harder than your knife.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes, every wash. There is no coating to protect and no plastic side to warp.
Where are these boards made?
In Japan, by titanium specialists. Japan runs the most demanding titanium industry in the world. Its mills supply the aerospace and medical fields, where purity and precision are checked, not claimed. Our boards are handcrafted within that industry, and like everything else on this page, the origin is documented.
